This plant is native to South America. This plant can reach 1.5 feet high indoors. Outdoors this plant spreads outwards like ground cover. The leaves are beautiful and geometrical.

Watering: Water when the top layer of potting media is dry. The Peperomia Tetragona is a semi-succulent so it won't need water as ofter. The best way to see if your Peperomia needs water is to do the "Taco Test". The Taco Test, is where you try to fold an individual leaf in half. If the leaf barely moves, it is not ready for water. If you can easily fold the leaf into a taco, it's time to water. Fertilize the plant twice a month during the spring and summer months.

Environment: The Peperomia Tetragona loves humidity so a bathroom or a terrarium is a perfect home for this plant. If placing the bathroom, be sure a window or grow light is available. The Peperomia likes moderate indirect light so definitely no direct sun, or those sensitive leaves will scorch and burn. Keep temperatures between 60-85 degrees F, or you risk your plant fading away.

Growth: These plants are average growers and prefer to be slightly root bound. The root system is very delicate so be careful when repotting. Be sure to use a well draining mix. I use a cactus mix, perlite, pumice, orchid bark, and horticultural charcoal. This plant can be propagated by leaf cutting or stems.
